Explorium Hong Kong is an innovation hub with the purpose of learning, experimenting and scaling the ideas, opportunities and business models that will shape the supply chain of the future. We work with a community of incubators and accelerators to add value to startups that have a shared interested in disrupting the global supply chain.
At Explorium, we’ve embarked on a journey to take stock, reflect and share back what we’re learning around the themes driving the future of consumption and the supply chains that enable it. Read about our insights here.

WearWare, Li & Fung’s wearables project is an initiative to understand the appeal of smart products among our stakeholders. The team looks across our business to see where we can reinvent an item into a smart device. These new class of ‘smart products’ require a different product development process and supply chain flow that brings together the world of soft goods, hard goods, software and hardware.
Studio 8020 is a joint project with Li & Fung that inspires business to explore 3D printing as a new manufacturing opportunity in the digital age. We want to discover and develop new opportunities emerging from business and technology trends that have applications for Li & Fung and our customers. Studio 8020 is founded on the belief that we are moving into a world where 80 percent of the products within the supply chain are mass-produced and 20 percent are custom-made and on demand.
We are open, collaborative and neutral partners with a point of view and we work with our business to create new value. We instigate tension, breed curiosity within the Fung Group and teach our people new ways of doing things.
We conceptualize new products, services, businesses and processes to create a vision of the future. Through design thinking, we inspire and guide innovation initiatives. By rethinking how we relate to our customers (empathy), how we build things (prototype) and how we succeed or fail (experimentation), we find improved answers to the different questions that help the Fung Group grow.
